Of course, we tried to make a visit to the competence center Bobst Lyon possible. Unfortunately we had to take note in February that the planned changes in the house Bobst Lyon did not correspond with our schedule, but we may still try to arrange something at short notice.

After we have celebrated our reunion on Thursday evening, we meet on Friday, 14.09.2018 (please on time ?) at 09:45 am to our official general meeting.

This square is a 10-15 minute walk from the Novotel Lyon Confluence.
There we board aboard the excursion ship Hermes II at 10:00 am . Over the next 7 hours, our event will then take place under a changing backdrop of Lyon.

The General Assembly is divided into 3 main areas.

1. Part: 10:00 am Members’ Meeting ESU (to the invitation and agenda)
2. Part: approx 12:00 pm General Assembly FDS, also members of the ESU are welcome, but not entitled to vote.
3. Part: approx 2:00 pm Lecture Fraunhofer followed by a discussion.

End official part: 5:00 pm
For the physical well-being at lunchtime and in between is sufficiently taken care of.

As already started in the ESU magazine and on the ESU homepage, we will also focus on new technologies at our general meeting. I am pleased that we have succeeded in attracting speakers from the Fraunhofer Institute for a presentation of new technologies, taking into account to our industry.

Mr. Frank Schieck, Head of Sheet Metal Forming, and Dr. Ing. Tino Langer, Department Manager Smart Factory – Digitalization in Production, both from the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology, will visit us on this day. The lecture will always be in English, but it should not be a problem to ask questions in German. Of course, there is again a handout in German, French, Italian and English. You will certainly have ample opportunity for personal questions after the presentation.

It was very difficult to get hotel rooms in Lyon in the month of September. We could reserve a quota of just 40 rooms at Novotel Lyon . I looked at this hotel last year and am pleased to see you all in the hotel bar the evening before our meeting 🙂 .

For the evening we want to organize a dinner together in the old part of Lyon. Since the restaurants in the historic buildings often have only relatively small space, a registration is urgently required until 08.08.2018. The cost per participant is 50,00 €, which have to be paid in advance.
