The trade meeting around the diemaking industry is being held for the sixth time now. Therefore it can rightly be considered as a well-established institution. An institution to which everybody is invited to attend – from economically important companies which are family-run to international corporations. They all will find a marketplace where the latest technology, machines and materials will be presented.

However, it is not for nothing that this event was provided with the addendum ‘Forum’. According to Wikipedia the definition ‘Forum’ includes exhibition halls as well as meeting rooms and one or more temples.

Nowadays the temples represent the hotels. Whether at breakfast in the morning or at the bar in the evening there will always be opportunities for shoptalks in a relaxed atmosphere. In the past such discussions were the beginning of a successful business relationship. Make use of the opportunities around the forum and the event program for establishing new business contacts.

Finally there is the question of successfully using the meeting room. As usual we would like to hold our General Meeting on the occasion of the Technology Forum. And when we talk about success, we expect that there are members among you who recognize the importance of this forum and the Association behind which make such events possible. Innovation does not end at the industrial gate, it must also be lived outside. An Association also needs perrmanent changes/innovation. Many of you may think “the Association should have done………., the Association should take care of…………. For that reason we not only invite you to the General Meeting but ask you to participate actively in this Association which is so important for this line of business. Stand for election to the Board of ESU! Bring your know-how in the Association work and implement ideas which you have always expected from our Association.

Therefore I would like to invite you on behalf of the Board Members of ESU/FDS to an active participation in this forum.
